First of all, this book hit really close to home when dealing with heart disease in women. I felt Sloane's real fear about further damaging her body and heart! But back to the Sloane and Nate show. We met Nate back at the beginning of the CK series and I have always loved his humor and wittiness. It was nice to see his serious side and for him to just lay it all on the line for someone who repeatedly told him.. "Nah, son! I'm straight on you!"
Sloane. Is. The. Truth!!!!! As everyone in the book already confirmed, "she is BAD!"I loved her and I loved that she was OK with just being OK with Nate and moving on her terms and not being forced into a full-blown relationship before she was ready just because she was 40+ and older than Nate. Nothing about their pairing felt forced or over-romanticized. It felt like a natural progression, which makes sense since they were sneaking and creeping for four years.
I'm not sure if we'll hear more from them or not, but I would not be mad if we did. This is absolutely one of my favorites in the Connecticut Kings Series and CCJ delivered the goods.

I loved Sloane and Nate! Sloane was a strong independent woman who has lots of confidence. Sometimes I felt she was too independent. You don't go through a major health crisis and keep it to yourself. Thank goodness Nate was there when it happened. Loved Nate he was all about Sloane from the start and nothing she did could change that. I feel Nate and Sloane could have had a little more chemistry but I loved their story!
I definitely enjoyed reading Nate and Sloane’s story, but not as much as I enjoy this collaboration of the ‘Connecticut Kings’ between Christina Jones and a Love Belvin. Although I’m looking forward to more from this series, I would so love a collaboration on a new series from these two. Okay, back to this story. There were some ups and downs and a few surprises that I’m still trying to grasp. If you have not had a chance to dive into this, there’s no time better than now.

There are not many Authors that I can say that I have purchased all of their works but CJ is one. I tend to shy away from the May/December romance themes because some authors can't make it believable or relatable. CJ took us straight into the whole point of the relationship from the start...booty calls. She didn't make one character a notorious player and another one bitter. She showed us two people who enjoyed each other's company and how it progressed into something more. She left us with a solid ending but as always left us wanting to know more and wondering who would be the next couple to create their own story. I do hope to see a come of age story on Madison in the future.
Loved this book! Now I must admit, that as the mother of a son who is currently 30, I was initially a little turned off by the age difference between Nate and Sloane. But this is Christina C. Jones, so you know I kept right on reading, because...Christina C. Jones. And she didn’t disappoint. Sloane Brooks was EVERYthing! And Nate, who may have been young in age, was just the man for her. I love how he listened to what she was looking for, and didn’t tell her who he was, but showed her. And kept showing her.
Lots going on in this one. Do yourself a favor and check it out. I can pretty much guarantee you’re gonna love it. #thankmelater
This book was so beautifully written that I didn't want to put it down! Sloane and Nate are the perfect examples for how to be in a relationship where there is an age difference. I liked that they balanced each other. When one was vulnerable, the other one stepped up. Weak moments weren't looked at as weaknesses. I also liked that Sloane and Nate were mature and they knew what they wanted. Just as Sloane and Nate balanced each other, the storylines in Pass Interference were balanced as well. You got the perfect amount of football and the perfect amount of love. I truly enjoyed this book and this couple. I hope this isn't the last time we see #SLATE!
What!!!! CCJones did it again. Nate & Sloane is fyre. Love knows no age. There has to be a sequel to this one or just a novell to keep us informed of the happenings of the Richardson family. Twins?????!!!!! I didn't see that coming. I do believe Nate and Coach B will be next. I need moreπππππ. Connecticut Kings keep getting better and better. The colabo between Love Belvin and Christina C. Jones is an awesome connection. Never disappointed. πππππππππππππππ
I love this story of Nate and Sloane, I like that there was a story I can relate to as an older woman being with a younger man. I believe the love overcomes even age. The idea of seeing yourself with someone regardless of age and don’t let what people think influence how you love that person was dope. Cougar love I’ll take it any day!
